Blink Charging Europe – Conquering the European EV Charging market

Discover how NXTsteps.eu contributed and took ownership of the set-up and fundement of the European growth plans of US-based EV Charging Infra company Blink Charging into Europe. The assignment was clear: prepare the foundation on which Blink Charging could build the expansion into 27 EU countries and put the first Blink chargers in the ground in the Netherlands.

About the project

I joined the team of 4 in Amsterdam to start the journey of Blink Charging in Europe. The first assignment consisted of developing the structure and partnerships with all parties necessary to lead the expansion into Europe. First focus was on contracting installation and service partners across Europe in order to efficient and safe installation and maintenance work in the 27 countries targetted by US management.

Next, I designed the framework with efficient and effective processes to deliver these installations, including the customer journey leading up to the installations.

My final assignment was the market entry and implementation of Blink into the Dutch market. This resulted in the first big deal for Blink Charging in the Netherlands and delivery of the first Blink chargers at 2 big McArthur Glenn sites in Roermond and Roosendaal. These are still the biggest sites in the Netherlands.
